Moreover, the foundation played a vital role in Afghanistan, leading extensive efforts to evacuate vulnerable women leaders and human rights defenders. Amed Khan demonstrated tenacity, grit, and incredible resourcefulness by chartering planes and coordinating with foreign officials to ensure the safe landing of over 1,500 Afghan evacuees in Greece.
